Came for the sushi and stayed for the Korean stews! the sushi is pretty generous in their size so not a bad deal! What I really fell in love with is their Korean food, I got sullangtang, a classic beef bone broth soup and it came out still BOILING and was SOO flavorful. I didn't think I could find this in north county!! We came back just 2 days later and I got the soondubu which was also very well done.

Another day, another visit to Ginza. Usually great service. Their specialty rolls are a little over the top for me (mostly because of the sauces), BUT we love their generous bento dinners and the more simple handrolls. It's a go-to for a quick dinner with the family when I am in town.

My daughter was at a birthday party for two hours so I decided to grab lunch. Ginza Sushi was near by so decided to try it. It was in the middle of the day so the restaurant was not too busy. I was seated right away and took my time browsing through the menu. I decided on the Crazy Mango Roll and Otoro on the Rock. The mango roll was delicious as expected but that otoro? Premium bluefin tuna belly. That was how do you say it, chef's kiss. The slices were huge and literally melted in my mouth. Definitely a splurge every and now and then. The restaurant size is small, just one room but looks big because of the high ceiling. They had a cute display area set up for Halloween in a corner. Service is super friendly and I did not feel rushed to order my food but they did come by to check up on me. Next door is a dessert place so I hopped on over right after lunch.
